Bracket Format:

• Inspired by Smash Summit 14, The Arcadian will be running a very similar format for Singles
• Bracket will begin with Round Robin pools of 4-8 players
• After pools there will be a unique single-elimination phase called the Gauntlet
• The results of the Round Robin Pools will determine where you start in the Gauntlet Stage
• 1st Place in each Round Robin pool qualifies directly for Main Bracket (winners side, they form Winners Quarters of Top 24), and thus skip the Gauntlet entirely

Gauntlet Stage- Single Elimination

• 2nd and below from pools will move into the gauntlet, where they will only play players who were not in their original pool in a single elimination bracket
• 2nd Place from each pool will be waiting in Finals of the Gauntlet, with their spot in main bracket secure (loser's side)
• 3rd Place from each pool will be waiting in Semifinals of the Gauntlet, awaiting the winner of the Quarterfinals match
• 4th place from each pool will be waiting in Quarterfinals of the Gauntlet, and will play the winner of any extra matches that are needed based on RR pool player amount
• so, if there were 7 players in a RR pool, the first two to play in Gauntlet would be players who finished 6th and 7th from different pools in RRs, and that single elimination continues all the way through the rest of the gauntlet
• Anyone who is eliminated before the finals of the Gauntlet Stage will be placed in the Amateur's Bracket

So, in short, from RRs -> Gauntlet

• 1st -> advances to main (winners)
• 2nd -> qualified for main (losers), win in gauntlet to improve seeding
• 3rd -> win 1 match to make it to main
• 4th -> win 2 matches to make it to main
• 5th-8th follows the same pattern
• lose before Finals of the Gauntlet and you are in Amateur's Bracket

Main (Top 24):

• The 8 Pools Winners will form Winners Quarters of Main
• The top 2 from each gauntlet (whoever plays in the finals) will be in Loser's Side Top 24

Doubles will be double elimination as usual

Schedule:

• Doors Open: 10 am
• Doubles: 1 pm
• Singles First Wave: 3 pm
• Singles Second Wave: 4:30 pm
• Gauntlet Stage: 6 pm
• Main and Ammy Bracket: 7:30 pm

Eligibility: In order to enter this Arcadian, you must meet the following requirements:

• Current resident of AZ
• Has not been on a statewide PR since 2016
